Detailed description of Cherry Creek Golf Links -Woods
Cherry Creek Golf Links is a Public, 36 hole golf facility located in Riverhead, New York. The facility has two 18-hole golf courses, The Links and The Woods.
The Links and The Woods courses are located directly across the street from one another. They are two distinctly different types of courses. The Links has beautiful elevated tees and long generous lush fairways. The Woods has rolling treelined fairways, winding doglegs and man made ponds. It is a shot-makers delight.
The Woods Course At Cherry Creek opened for play in 2002. The par-71 Woods Course was designed by Young & Young Design. The course plays to a maximum distance of 6,550 yards.
Maple Tees: 6,550 yards, course rating 71.1, slope ranking 130.
Oak Tees: 6,229 yards, course rating 69.6, slope ranking 129.
Pine Tees: 5,623 yards, course rating 66.9, slope ranking 121.
Cherry Tees: 5,059 yards, course rating 69.4, slope ranking 122.

I and my playing partner play both the links and/or the woods at least once a month year round when possible. Excellent course. Always in great condition. Best price among the other courses in the area.
